I made one of these for Patrick once out of rootbeer cans (Mug, I think? It was the Pepsi brand), and he seemed to like it but fretted about not being able to control the flame. It took me a couple hours of careful reading-and-rereading-the-instructions. (Hi! It's Miriam snooping on your business from afar!)
